Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Every public college and community college has fulltime Spanish speaking employees to "reach out" to the illegalalien community for students. They are always fully subsidized by taxpayers. Quota's are carved out in all appropriate degree programs. Ameican cictzens will be turned down for slots in a schools nursing degree programs while the school holds slots back until the last minute to award to a Spanish speaking illegal alien. Grade and other qualification requirements are waved with the intent of filling that student position with a hispanic at all costs. The school keeps these facts secret. Your daughter or niece who applied for a nursing program will believe her 3.75 GPA wasn't good enough to get into the school,she will never know that betweeen quotas for blacks, hispanics and others that she never had a fair chance to realize her dreams.
What may well be worse is that the blacks and hispanics who are "given" these quota's are rarely qualified and will begin to falter and fail. But this cannot happen, they willbe propped up, required classes will be "deemed" to have been passed. Every student in a nursing program is irreplaceable; you cannot replace a student that drops out in the second or subsequent semester. These failing students will be pushed through without regard to their competence. Most of these quota students will graduate and many of them will become nurses even if they failed biology or are unable to read at an 8th grade level. This is what a quota system creates.

Actually, the Obamanesty WAS approved by Congress. Or at least by the Democrats and the Rove Republicans. He saved them from having to pass a bill that would have resulted in most of them being dumped in the next election.

HI GTW: Here's a "minority" in the Navy--actually it's a female, but in the military we have the same thing happening today that has been going on in the rest of the country for the past 30 years. Unqualified students are put ahead in order to fill a quota. Look what happens to the innocent white males:

You don't suppose? Could it be true? Do you think that maybe the O'fool announced Hegel's resignation just in time to defer the focus on his immigrations tactics? Also, but then again--maybe he made Hegel's resignation in time to deflect the focus from those folks making a mess in Ferguson? Oh well--either way an innocent, foolish, trusting white man got stabbed in the gut in public. My only hope is that the other white man who is a politico holding the line of defense for our military (Dempsey) will have the whatcha you call ems to not go down without a fight! I think he might (fighting Irish and all). Let's pray for our soldiers.

This is nothing new. Young people have always put the concerns for other feelings ahead of free speech. In my day the response was. "Being offended is the price you pay to live in a democracy." The response would then go on to clarify that if you prevent others from speaking because it offends you then they will prevent you from speeking because it offends them. This then becomes a powerful strategy to stiffle opposing views by simply claiming to be offended by them.
