The Liberal Arrogance at the Core of Obamacare:

...paternalism is warranted, they argue, because without the government, people would fall prey to big, bad corporate interests and their efforts to relentlessly maximize shareholder value.

Thus, Obamacare is all about the federal government making decisions on behalf of Americans because -- as Gruber and his liberal brethren would argue -- the people are unable or unwilling to make the choices that elites believe advance the social good. That’s why President Barack Obama and his Democratic allies in Congress invented the mechanisms in the law that, for example, transfer resources from those who are young and healthy to those who are old and sick.

I don't think that I am unique in preferring big bad business interests to big, bad crony government and political interests. If you don't like a business, you can quit it. Not so easy to quit an armed government.

Being American is not supposed to be being a US subject.

Related: Gruber is an honest Liberal because he admits to grubering. Seems to me that his confessions are just bragging.

A new word: "Grubering." Lying your ass off to make a better world for you pathetic idiots.

The Fine Art Of Grubering

So now a new word has entered the national lexicon. If you buy a car that turns out to be a piece of junk, you've been "grubered". A "gruberism" is a lie concocted by the left for the purpose of keeping voters in the dark, at least until the next election.

Gruber verb \groo-burr\
(1) To tell a lie deliberately with the intent of misleading. (2) To misinform people based on the belief that they are too stupid to understand the wisdom of your position.
example: To conceal the truth about Obamacare it was necessary to gruber the entire nation.

noun A calculated mistruth intended to deceive listeners
example: The explanation given in favor of Obamacare was one huge gruber from one end to the other.

Gruberish noun \groo-burr-esh\ Any bewildering deluge of falsehoods designed to confound an audience based on the speaker's awareness that the truth must be concealed by any means necessary.
example: A preposterous mountain of gruberish was put forth intended to hide the fact that the entire nation had been grubered about Obamacare.

Those who Gruber thinks he is fooling are called Grubes. As it turns out, the Grubes were never fooled.

Actually, PLENTY of the Grubes were indeed fooled. And still are. As I posted before, check the comments to any WaPo article on Obamacare for proof positive.

And Grubering is SOP for politicians of EITHER party. Or do you REALLY think the Rove Republicans have any intention of doing what they claimed while on the campaign trail?

Seeing that they did generally try to do just that, yes. No necessarily well, but yes. I am old enough to remember that despite the complaints that the Contract With America never came to pass, the scorecard on the attempts was actually pretty good.

If 80% of those elected promise to try to do x, and 80% of those actually do but it's not enough, I don't accuse the 100% of lying.

I reserve the term "Lying," for things like Gruber's admissions that "we knew it was untrue, but we said it anyway because we wanted to win."

Please note: Gruber, Obama, and their ilk are not liberals. The best that can be said of them is that they are progressives (a reform movement against big business running all governments on every level -- simply buy what you want and citizens, the Constitution can go to h). Most, however, as you well know, are socialist-marxist-maoists-fascists-islamists. They have infested the once Democratic Party and the big government types have a good foothold in the Republican Party. There is no Democratic Party. There is only top down control by elites using government and crony corporations to do their bidding.

Most of you probably are classical liberals, that is if you honor the working man and woman along with limited government. One has to be careful what one conserves in "conservatism". The first conservatives were for King George III and later slavery.

I also prefer big business to big government because big government is so heavily armed and has reserved to itself the legal monopoly on deadly force.

The big problem we face is that big business and big government are in bed with one another to a greater extend than any time since the days of National Socialism.

Do the liberals understand that the target group for misinformation happens to be them? I am a redneck and clearly understood that we were being lied to and that the government had another agenda. But we were told that we were stupid for not wanting "free" medical care. Do the liberals understand that they are the target of misinformation for the climate change agenda? Or immigration, or voter id. In other words, the stupid Americans are not the rednecks but the sophisticated, Ivy league education and superior liberals.
