We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I have to admit the first time I saw that commercial I didnt get it. I have a friend who has two coons as pets. Mr Fjord had coons for pets as a kid. Highly entettaining tp throw dog biscuits under the couch cushions and watch the chaos
This Spring we took two grandaughters (3 and 5) hiking at Zion and Grand Canyon. The trails are precarious especially for children. We found two dog leashes in pink which the girls loved. We got lots of comments (none negative) and lots of attention. But mostly we got great memories and pictures for the girls for when they are older to help them remember a great adventure. The girls climbed the Angels Landing trail all the way to Scouters lookout and back without complaint or mishap. The youngest did invent a new word/symptom. After a few days of hiking she complained/commented that she had "stretchy" legs. I told her if she thought her legs bothered her she should try it at 70.
