We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Ray Charles like voice, pianist and percussionist too, pure musician/melody maker/conveyor. Saw The Band at Watkin's Glenn in 1973. Good song, thanks for that and the impetus to read up about him and recollect some fond memories:
Might we look at the flipside? Like the gifts they gave while they were here . . .
So many Artists, when they passed, had so much left to give, they were just getting started, yet how would we even consider such if they hadn't impacted us so while they were here? Just some thoughts, i agree with your general sentiment.
