Would you want to get into a rocket built and be shot into space by "scientists" and engineers who would produce such a fanciful report. Whose very printed words reveal they do not comprehend how the world works?

Now, on the whole these government drones that zoom down on a business aren't malevolent. But, they are, each government worker stopping by, looking only at their selfish concerns. Namely, finding violations, assessing fines, getting the bonus. Funny how the businessman is denigrated for seeking to produce something of value to offer in voluntary exchange as being selfish, but, the government worker isn't for seeking to maximize fines and violations to achieve promotion and advancement.

I doubt the teachers get finder's fees. It's mostly because they don't know anything else. Those running the education cartel and pushing its agenda are themselves creatures of the system.

Unless they studied the problem solving hard sciences, they were not exposed to open-minded, different perspective thinking, at least in the last 40 years, which covers most alive today. The over 60s now lamenting the collapse of the academy are just the people who collapsed the academy by abandoning the lessons they were taught.

The thing to keep in mind, the entire educational system from secondary to graduate school is designed to create college professors. Those of us who do not achieve that credential are just along for the ride and hope to do something economically useful when we step off the hamster wheel.

Now, having some individuals devoted to open-minded investigation and trained to embrace the unknown is a good thing. The problem is, such individuals are not routinely produced by the education hamster wheel anymore. In the hard sciences, yes, but most of the rest are just over-credentialed technicians. In the humanities, there are few true investigators into human history but rather impressive-sounding credential promoters of undergraduate simplifications.

Instapundit had a post about a Lefty talk radio network in trouble with maybe 700 listeners in any one 15 min period. So, I think we can assume Lefties don't like free speech even when it is what they like.

Not really a shock, when you've been taught what to think and not to deviate from the conformity, what is their to talk about? Assuming the talk is outside the higher indoctrination centers and not by approved, credentialed "experts."
