We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Maldacena’s model provides more support than ever for the claim that, when it comes to cosmic ingredients, entanglement is more fundamental than space and time. Time, it turns out, is not present at the most basic layer of reality; it springs from fundamental seeds. But while emerging physics suggests time is an illusion, the forces that conjure it remain at large. “My intuition is that it will take more than just a re-working of quantum physics, it will require a breakthrough that will come totally out of left field,” Seiberg says. “Only time will tell what that revolution will be.”
Might make a good comic book where some people jump from our universe to the other to become young again, then come back. Others from there might jump here to gain maturity before then un-age into nothingness.
A short while back I came across a movie trailer for a documentary called "The Principle" that is to come out this April. The trailer can be found on YouTube and I also found another video by Dr. Robert Sungenis that addresses the same topic of geocentrism. They are mind bending in their likely effect on cosmology and may yet show that Galileo was not right and many other scientists do not wish to see what is right in front of them.
Not "nothing". As I understand the theory all the matter in the universe was compressed into a very small ball and then it exploded hence the "big bang". But another part of that theory is that it keeps repeating itself. The universe will continue to expand until it stops and then once again collapses on itself to again begin a massive expansion with a "big bang".
