We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Ooh, a professor! That means he must know something, right?
Assistant Village Idiot
The progressive "professor" condemns monogamy on the basis that it is "unnatural" - according to the professor, monogamy doesn't occur OFTEN in nature. Ah, but that's the rub, it DOES occur. So the professor's reasoning is that because X does not occur in nature, X is to be condemned. Do professors occur in nature? Do universities occur in nature?
Still, the professor may have a point. Given the drivel that passes for education in our modern universities, perhaps universities and their professors SHOULD be condemned....but certainly not because they are "unnatural."
