Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

The new censorship craze

A Plea for censorship from the EU: Daily Pundit

A plea for self-censorship from Slate. I knew this was coming. H/T Protein Wisdom. The article is worried about "stereotyping". Gimme a break. Since when is sterotyping illegal or unconstitutional? We all do it, all day long. It's called "learning" from experience.

What is wrong with these idiots? They are stereotyping themselves to the point of self-satire. And this comes after discovering that the entire Mohammed cartoon thing was a scam by sleazebag Imams to rile up their people against Denmark. Thank God the leaders of the US are not omega male metrosexuals like Europe has. Like Blair.
