We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Just when I thought our major media personalities couldn't get more stupid, they never fail to surprise me.
He had it coming starting from his big introductory speech at the Dem Convention several years ago; there's just no way he could ever live up to his crafted image and disappointment was as sure to follow as day follows night.
The accusation was at the time that the media, and many liberals, were responding in exactly this way. That was laughed off the stage at the time, and taken as evidence that Republicans were paranoid and unable to contribute to the national discussion.
And now it's, gee whiz, true.
Related: By 2002, liberals were being dismissive that everyone knew that Clinton was lying but had decided it was unimportant and the stupid Republicans just wouldn't drop it. Except that is emphatically not what they were saying in 1998. Just those few years earlier, all the commentary was that it couldn't be proven and Clinton's critics were grasping at straws and small fibs in an effort to paint a picture of larger dishonesty.
I wonder if these are people who really can recreate reality because they just feel so intensely that their guys are the good guys that other realities are flexible, or if they know they lie. Some of each, is my current theory.

Ah yes, got it figured out .... then she blithely steps right back into character with her 'pick' for 2013 person of the year ... and the logic is just about what she 'discovered' about herself.
