Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

There are pretty much only two kinds of stories about racism: the ones that are never told where the "wrong" people commit the racist acts; and the ones where the people who are supposed to be against racism perpetrate racist acts so they can say they're against them.

There are very few of any other kind.

"Hate" crimes so negligible that advocates have to turn to doing it themselves. The Cognitive Dissonance is strong in these ones. Same for Frisco and rent-control,

Just want to know, for my own information, if I mug you, shoot you, kill or maim you, steal your property and do it ALL in the name of brotherly love and concern, would that be considered a hate crime and could I be prosecuted?
Second question, if the above applies, and it is considered a prosecutable hate crime, when is the present administration being arrested?

Hate crime hoax at Vassar? Surely it was hmm... a mass performance to make others aware of the blinders of race and class privilege which for a 5 figure donation each can be exorcised.

The end of thebar car, how long before some bright spark realizes the quiet car can be a captive market and carry on spirits banned?

Wonder if the current SF rent control regime is being used to force out those that consume more services than taxes?

The same thing happened at Williams a couple of years ago, but it refuses to fess up despite the fact that it knows who had to be responsible from the entry logs into the dorm. But who lets truth get in the way of the narrative of oppression?

As with all "agencies", sometimes they have to "prove" they're really needed by creating the situations they're meant to investigate and act upon.
After all, how can you defend your proposed increased budget in a time budgets are tight if there's no "hard evidence" that your work is needed and valuable...
