I like Wild Turkey just fine, but wild turkey is not a favorite. The wild bird is almost devoid of white meat, since he doesn't stand about all day feeding his gullet.

He does have more flavor than domesticated birds, if you actually like the flavor of turkey.

Wild turkey is a challenging bird to hunt; you'd be hard-pressed to link that bird to the huge, white-feathered, stupid-enough-to-look-up-into-the-rain-long-enough-to-drown creature that is sold worldwide.

Sorry, can't do a heritage turkey this year. Some idiot doctors and lawyers have the hunting easement on the property abutting mine and they've killed without consideration. Four years ago I had herds of deer and a lot of turkeys, now just a couple does and only one turkey. I have considered shooting hunters but I'd need to get a back hoe first. Plus there is that whole libertarian argument as long as they stay on their property, plus that law thing.

Consider setting up game cameras around the property, and making sure they're inside the boundaries.

Keystone, along with the Fracking argument, was a loosing prop for the Greenies. It never was about Gaea - it was about power, having power over the citizeny and biz, and the fantastical belief that re-newables will save the day.

Only, they can't. The sun doesn't shine enough in the day, wind blows, or any of the fairy tales they tell.

Now, with the Sun not showing many (very few noticed) sunspots or erruptions, it looks to be entering its cooler phase, and trumpet in much cooler than normal climes. And, that has the Greenies in a tizzy, since, their house of cards cannot handle such a downturn.

Oddly, people will take warmth and power over protecting the trees and snail darter...

Ironically, the dam the Snail Darter tried to stop wasn't and doesn't have electrical power generating capability. Theoretically, it was to aid navigation for light industry. In reality, it mostly provides a lake for rich people's homes.

On the upside, upscale development seems to be the most economically profitable to the government.

RE: bikers - been on both sides of the spandex. There are rules & courtesies but just as people in cars use to follow rules like stay in the right lane if you are going slower, stop for emergency vehicles, etc. now fewer people in cars adhere to the rules too. The new generation doesn't follow the rules for what ever reason. Seems to me they do get a bit more sense when they get into their 30's and have kids. How you impact them potentially is a great equalizer - I notice that when I walk my GSD all the rules of passing a walker are followed with GREAT care but if I walk my little dog, many wiz by with out so much as a heads up to me as they come up from behind.

80 is the new 60...yet more evidence that what can't go on won't.

It is not healthy for people, particularly men, to set around doing mostly nothing for 20 some years. If you can afford it fine, but it is immoral to expect others to pay for your extended non productivity.

Obama should be awarded a lifetime achievment award from Tea Party and other small gov/federalist conservatives for doing more to discredit and hopefully begin the dismantling of the progressive governing model than any conservative group could ever have.

$50 minimum wage, why not let the minimum wage workers participate in the health and pension plans given city workers? Surely, the unions would have no objection to sharing and would waive any representation fee/dues while city tax payers see their duty to assist those less fortunate.

Mr. Sippi has a good family and now a pretty good house, but he's too proud to admit he's proud of both.

Karen seems to recognize the lack of respect for diversity in traffic is "kids these days" up to what, 30-35? Teachers didn't teach them enough about diversity.

Comm. Colleges: likely reflect the diversity of the communities.

IceCap: Greenies just can't handle weather. They don't know they are latter-day King Canutes (who knew he couldn't command the tides, but they don't know that).

I do hope Mead is right on this; but the Greens only fight local battles.

Sea-Tac: Why don't the Sea-Tac area residents tax themselves to help out those poor downtrodden minimum wage workers? (I laugh at myself for even suggesting it.)

But notice that in his announcement, he couldn't bring himself to say the word "Israel." Instead, he said she was being treated "inside the Green Line." The Palestinians are never grateful for an act of charity; like other Muslims, they expect it and probably view it as another sign of Zionist weakness, perpetual ingrates that they are. There is no dealing with them. Nonetheless, it was the proper thing for the Israelis to do.
