We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I think this should be a weekly/monthly addition to all the good stuff you offer. Much better way to spend one's time than watching all those awful Sunday morning talk shows where every participant is just a tad more arrogant that the rest.
Happy B-day to the Marines and thanks to all who have served and still serve our country. I have been watching/listening to the three-day coverage of Veterans' Day with much regret that this information is not well shared within our educational community.
We have been the watchdogs for the world since our formation. Such a rich heritage to protect.
(Bird Dog, all those dead bodies on the TV say much about our commitment to freedom that the written word just doesn't express. I am not a TV person, but I do see a reason for people to visualize all that sacrifice. BTW, I still want a book list.)
