We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
For difficult patients who need more than outpatient treatment or short-stay stabilization. Over the years, I have found Gould Farm to be very helpful to patients: Gould Farm.
Thank you for the free ad for Gould Farm and your kind words. I feel lucky to live and work here with my husband and our family and we'd welcome you to join us for lunch in community anytime!
I went back and read some of your posts on mental health issues and appreciate the thoughtful, sensitive way you approach this misunderstood illness. I feel very hopeful about the progress we're making as a society to diminish stigma and engage people in recovery-oriented strategies for managing their illness.
We'll all experience extreme states in this life and we all deserve to be held through those vulnerable moments by a caring, healthy community.
Thanks again-- what a lovely Google alert about Gould Farm to find in my inbox this morning!
