We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
While no one can say how accurate the computerized climate models are at predicting future weather, their accuracy at predicting present or recent past weather (climate) can at least be used as a yardstick.
Has none of these brilliant "climate scientists" thought to plug in the known weather conditions from say, 1900, to see how close the models predict the current weather "climate"? What about our "inquisitive" news hounds who are aching to be the next Woodward & Bernstein?
To paraphrase the old guy in "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid": "We've got idiots on our team!"
