Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Well, what were you expecting? MLK and the people that organized the march on Washington were Republicans. The civil rights movement since then was hijacked by Democrats. The Democrat party is composed of victim groups and it shows.

I doubt there are any honest people left in the civil rights movement. How did Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton and so many others become millionaires. Not by their trade or training. Not by working with their hands or by inventing something. By coercing/extorting people and corporations to give them money or else they would punish them in some way. Why do we as a nation of laws allow this???
