Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Nothing spells justice like somebody sitting in judgement who has no damn idea what is being said. Kind of like being Governor of CT in which the ability to read and write isn't a prerequisite for the job.

I particularly like that if you ever served in the military, especially in a war zone, you've lost your right to privacy and to be secure in your home and papers.

It's a nice bonus for the homosexuals who can now serve openly.


New Mexico is just trying to avoid another Zimmerman debacle where the defendant gets off for being justified in his actions.

From the story, it sounds like the Texas farm was raided for acting like illegal immigrants while White.

They were hit up for having a couch in the front yard, for having a piece of siding missing, for having plants that were to tall, not cited but they did have a lot of adults living on site.

Who knew the old hippies would become the Establishment and harass young hippies?

Coming soon to all of us. The Police did this years ago to a farm in GA. The Feds are militarizing the Police forces around the country because the Federal Government in DC is afraid of us. This time in Texas just to prove they have power over Texas too.

One looks for silver linings where one can find them.

This article appeared at Huffing and Pissed. If the lefties are are having problems with SWAT Teams pushing around non-violent citizens, perhaps there is a glimmer of hope that public pressure will be brought to bear to de-militarize police forces?

One wonders if a resident in the house was an active political/ideological opponent of a local or national politician?

The irony of racism in America is that 50 years ago it was a problem and many whites were racist. After 50 years of discussion, persuasion and reason few whites today are racist. The irony is that now most blacks are racist. The reason is simple: the race pimps used racism successfully over those 50 years to enrich themselves and get "free stuff" for their constituency. In order to do this and continue it in the face of declining racism the hype and propaganda had to be ramped up all the time until today it is all racism all the time by the radical left. Everyday a young black hears about racism; past racism trumped up racism and imagined racism (Oprah). By the time a black person is an adult either they truely believe there is racism and thus they are justified to be racist themselves OR they have caught on to the game and are using racism to get more "free stuff" for themselves. Now the question is (should be) how do we stop and reverse black (and other minority) racism?

Don't abuse rocks! Give them their highest purpose: Throw them at politicians!

Gentrifiers: Standard progressives.

Sounds like the neighbors of the Texas farm were gentrifiers, if (IF) the complaints actually came from them.

Clowns: The libs/progs/lefties cannot stand being mocked, even or especially if it is a way they have mocked Republicans.

If Barry wants to suspend parts of his O'care, the House should suspend all funding for O'care.
