Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Not in full bloom yet in Yankeeland


Here's one of Mom's small perennial borders at the Farm. Not in full summer bloom yet, but it will be soon. It's a pleasure to see her gardening continue on after her death this past February.  Perennial, and we'll keep it that way.


The pump don't work but the handle is still there. We shoot the vandals who try to steal handles, and throw them down the well.

--and then you have to throw the handle in after the corpse, so no one will poison his elf on the taint water. Why not save the bullet, and use it on the copy editor?

Me Mom passed last Oct 27 and changed her name and moved on to tear up some yankee coast.
