NY 'used' to be the national joke?? When did it stop? New York city has always been a blight on our society. I have been reading about the crime in NYC for 50 years. 9/11 wasnt even effective

NYC is based on fraud, uh, I mean "high" finance. Run by people so stupid they started buying their own scam products. Had a dog like that once, real annoying till you'd smack it, but if she went around the corner, she'd forget you were the one who smacked her and start all over when she came back around.

The NYC finance geniuses are probably doing that again, right now. They do have an advantage in they've bought most of the "elite" political class, who'll steal from honest folks to compensate for whatever Wall Street is smoking that makes their finance "high".

And let's not forget, the financial crisis was brought to us by the best and brightest the Ivy League has to offer.

Of course we can survive the rest of Obama's term, what other choice do we have?

We are American's we don't change governments violently. Sure, we may want to, may even be closer than we've been in 150 years, but we don't.

I couldn’t agree more: no government compulsion in marriage.

Who really cares if one or more people is in a bisexual-necrophilliac, homosexual-bestial, or polyamorous marriage if no one can be compelled to accept it? If no church, no adoption agency, no baker, no photographer, no hotel, no insurance company can be compelled by government to accept it? Without government compulsion, everyone will be free to accept or reject any genders’ marriages.

Won’t happen. Leftists are interested only in compelling obedience to their own morality, and when that doesn’t happen, will open the re-education camps and death camps, as they always have

I think it must be OK if endangered birds are hacked to death by windmills. After all, without the windmills the Earth will boil over and the birds will die anyway.

I am going to post the following link but if the proprietors of MF think it is inappropriate, they naturally have my full blessing to delete this entire post (no explanation needed, it's their blog). It is a link to a video of the gruesome murder of a Syrian priest and two other people last week by Islamic jihadists who are trying to overthrow the current dictatorial government of Syria. These killers are engaged in religious and ethnic cleansing of the Middle East, attempting to drive every Christian or Jew from the entire region. Our president, Barack Hussein Obama, has, in effect, chosen to support the killers in their efforts. I think that's morally wrong and politically unwise...but what do I know?

I offer this link because I think the issue of whether the US should actively support jihadists is an important one that is getting far too little attention in the midst of all the current Obama scandals. Do not watch this video if you are squeamish. The first page at the link carries a warning, so you have another chance to change your mind of whether to continue on to the following page where the video is actually posted.

No, you did right in printing the link. It's a horror, alright, but it's also a glimpse of the future, if we let Putin and Obama finesse our strategic defenses. Which they are busily doing, it's the Holy Grail for Putin, who knows that the future as seen in that link can go to the continent of north America instead of Mother Russia, depending.
