It's a good thing some people are willing to be friends with liberals. I was a great deal more liberal in my youth, until I paid attention to some of my good friend Bird Dog's finds. Like the faith, political enlightenment isn't taught, it's caught. So if one avoids or snarls at the misguided, they will never see the error of their ways.

Having said that, I should say that one of my children has a libertarian conservative godfather of no little political notoriety. He is probably a hero of many of you gentle readerrs. But he is a lousy godfather who is so busy slaying liberal dragons that he has no contact with his godchild, and who will therefore have no influence on his evolving political sense. Another child has a godmother with the most revoltingly PC tendencies. However, she is devoted, kind, full of Christian hope, and has therefore infected the hapless child with all of her PC sentiments...We can't pick and choose right...
