Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Saturday, May 11. 2013Benghazi ScandalIt is, indeed, looking much worse than Watergate. Oh Good Grief… Jay Carney Blames Romney for Benghazi Scandal David Gelernter: Who is on trial for Benghazi? MSNBC (!): Benghazi-Gate Is a Potential Impeachment Issue; Is Comparable to Watergate Unlike Watergate, an unremarkable political dirty trick with a dumb and unnecessary White House cover-up (if a handful of people had been fired it would have been a big nothing), in this case American public servants died seemingly because of State Dept and possibly White House incompetence or indifference, and both may have been complicit in an attempted cover-up a few weeks before a national election. Possibly the CIA too. People have been intimidated about speaking out, but maybe no longer. If this is the way it smells, this is a big problem for Washington. One more from Jim Hoft: Benghazi Whistle-Blower Attorney: I Have More People Who Want to Testify, Including CIA Officials In a week in which the IRS finally admits that they were harassing Conservative organizations prior to the elections, the administration is looking terribly corrupt. Whatever happens, I think this Chicago administration has blown itself up and lost whatever credibility it ever had. Plus, with the low-life Putin making John Kerry wait three hours to meet with him, it's looking sort of pitiful too. Buddy suggested that I add the tar and feathers image to this post. Seems right. Even though we disagree with the administration on most policies, we take no pleasure in seeing our US govt in this position. An embarassment for all of us. Respect must be earned, and these people thought they could easily fool us low-information citizens.

This happened at a CIA facility, under CIA auspices, and thus the draft talking points that have these whiny, crybaby, bloodthirsty Republicans wetting their diapers were CIA drafts.
So why didn't they call anybody from the CIA? Because Republicans are terrified of of an old, retired white woman named Hillary Clinton (which is so pathetic) and desperate to turn her into Richard Nixon because the American people know and respect her. Americans have more and more reason every day to note that Republicans are crazy nuts. Jon Stewat pegged them when he ripped apart House Republicans last night on his show: the entire world is laughing at the GOP. The American people watched -- in real time -- protests erupt around the world at American embassies and facilities on Sept 11. The Benghazi incident was originally thought to be amongst those protests, giving conflicting early reports. Obama called it "terror" the very next day. Hillary took responsibility and implemented recommended changes months ago. The CIA circulated drafts of talking points, received comments and suggestions, and came up with a final draft. This doesn't show a cover-up, it shows as further investigation sharpened the details, opinions change. That's the difference between Democrats and Republicans: when the facts change, Democrats change their opinions. Republican crazies are impervious to facts. Americans already know all this. It's only right-wing nutjobs like Rand Paul and House Republicans and Teabaggers who don't get it. You ask a Republican was exactly they think was being covered up: they don't even know. Even if the Obama Administration had all the details on the day of, Republican sickos would find something to scream and whine about. Wasting taxpayer money and time, as usual. Hillary will be elected in 2016 because Republicans are not fit to govern -- the Benghazi witch hunt proves it. Voters will no more fall for this nuttery than they fell for their "unskewed polls" claptrap. Suspect you are right that this was a CIA op. Amb. was visiting for a check up.
Jihadists clearly knew that, so attacked. Admin. responded politically, as would be expected, but with lies. Lying to the people is not a good thing. The phone rang at 3 am and Hillary told the caller to f* off. Now let's see, remind me, have they ever found those billing records from Hillary's law firm that went missing from the WH library?
She's a crook. Always has been. And now it's out in the open and everyone knows she's incompetent. She let the ambassador die. The emergency call she claimed America should not trust Obama to handle came to her and she f*d it up royally. She's just the kind of talentless, unethical, megalomaniacal person that Left-wingers love to lead them by the nose. "... when the facts change, Democrats change their opinions."
Are you really that fucking dumb, DK? Honestly? Decay, you're almost as theatrical as THIS lady. She answers your recipe con brio, plus she's really cute.
http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=jeanine+pirro+may+10+2013&ei=utf-8&fr=ie8 That laughter, it's at the flop-sweatin' formulaic cookbook attempt to ridicule the demo party's neck outta the noose. :-) It's fun to watch the administration squirm!
But nothing will come of this. Don't even mention the "I" word, there aren't enough Democrats up for re-election in 2014 to come close to a two-thirds Republican majority in the Senate and without that first don't even start. A failed attempt would only boost Barry's popularity. The timing of these hearing and disclosures are perfectly timed for Obama and the Democrats; after the last election and years before the next presidential contest. Quite long enough for this to be all ancient history to our increasingly stupid and malleable electorate. The coming crash of the American economy might make things awkward for the progressives to explain, but even then enough LI voters will vote Democratic to retain their benefits or entitlements to keep any conservatives from winning. We are quite doomed. "Buddy suggested that I add the tar and feathers image to this post."
I'm going long on tar and feathers. Well, they've learned a lot, since those days when Al Capone ran afoul of the IRS and got sent to prison instead of simply running for President and getting sent to the White House.
These people are an embarrassment; they make the Watergate cover up look penny ante. I just don't get it, these people imagine and hype themselves as "alphas" capable of leadership and "tough" decision making, but when the going gets tough, they are bleating "betas", sleezy and lazy ones at that. They sat on their hands and fixated on damage control instead of stepping up. The Dudes from Duck Dynasty are shrewder than the impotent and ineffectual WH or DOS crisis response teams. It just highlights that credentials up the whazoo or a degree in Euro Policy or Gender Studies doesn't equate to quick or outside the box thinking
The 47% doesn't care how stupid or corrupt their government is, as long as the checks keep a-comin'.
I don't think there was much fooling people going on.
A majority, a bare majority, didn't care. He won on an estrogen flood. ("He means well.") Foolishness is the failing of females, corresponding to skepticism in males. Every guy always thought Obama was a blowhard empty suit. Obama lied, people died. At this point the best Obama and Hilllary can hope for is that the coverup was ONLY to hide their incompetence. The Democrats are rallying around this issue because they are running scared. If there was nothing there they wouldn't be trying so hard to hide it. They hid and threatened witnesses, they demoted whistleblowers, they obstructed justice. This is the most corrupt administration in history. They make Bill Clinton look honest by comparison and they make Jimmy Carter look intelligent.
reasonable possibility:
Obama's buddy, Egypt's Morsi, was demanding the release of the blind sheik of 1993 twin towers fame. The Ambassador was to have been kidnapped (a traditional and historical mideast tactic from Cervantes, to our Marines at Tripoli, to the present day), so Obama could exchang him for the sheik to support Morsi, and make himself a hero right before the election. No-one told the 2 ex-Seals, who defended with honor and courage, angering the kidnappers. The "offensive movie" might have been a pre-arranged cover story for the "spontaneous" kidnapping, which Obama kept. Where else would they have come up with such a goofy explanation? Hillary is not known for concern about subordinates since the days when she was "first lady."
Obama doesn't care much about foreign stuff and has a 32 year old speech writer named Ben Rhodes, who has a masters of fine arts in fiction writing, writing his foreign policy stuff. They cut the legs off the only moderate Muslim in the middle east by peddling the story of the phony video. The PM of the new Libya government, who is a moderate unlike Obama's friends, said it was terrorists but was contradicted by Susan Rice. Great job, team ! RE: Jay Carney blames Romney for Benghazi scandal.
Jay is clearly wrong - we all know "Bush is at fault." It must be tough to be an American working overseas these days, knowing that the whitehouse, pentagon, state dept. etc. will not come to your rescue, even if you work for them. Kills the work ethic if not your body.
00oh, did i ever get the smircks 'n sneers down in South America when Carter was president. Remember he gave up the Panama Canal in order to make Latin America grateful? What he actually did (besides cede the Canal to China as it turned out) was set the whole continent to performing aerobics mimicing the motions of rear-entry sexual intercourse while grinning lewdly at whatever gringo happened to be anywhere nearby. That all changed when RR took over and splashed them two Libyan jet fighters in the Gulf of Sidra --the joke just didn't work anymore.
Knowing that she was completely, utterly, and totally full of shit at the time she said it, Hillary Clinton looked directly into the eyes of Tyrone Wood's father, in that hanger at Andrews Joint Base while his sons body lay a few feet away, and told him, "We will find and prosecute the man who made this video to the fullest extent of the law".
Presidential timber if there ever was. This bloated piano-legged bag of crap isn't fit to sit on the Joint Garbage Commission of my town. --right --not only is the truth not safe around her, but neither is any living thing.
the only things missing in that picture is rope and FIRE, LOTS of FIRE. don't leave home with out it when storming the castle.
