We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Will the stock market crash? Duh! Does the bear crap in the woods? Of course it will crash and then it will boom and then it will crash and then it will boom and then... The real question is when, how bad and which sectors, etc. The question in the back of most economist's minds is will the next bear market become 'the big one"? Will we crash and burn, will Keynesian economics destroy our economy and give us hyper inflation? Or will it "merely" give us a generation of malaise, human suffering and crisis after crisis for our politicians to exploit? Frankly my dear I don't give a damn as long as the government keeps sending my "free stuff".
