We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

As we have said ad nauseum, if this had happened under Bush, imagine the media uproar.  However, they are attempting to run interference for Hillary ("at this point, what does it matter?") Clinton.


Were she male, would they love her so much?

Oh great! More hearings will really get to the bottom of it all. Just like Fast & Furious?

I would be more concerned with whether or not Ms. Attkisson meets an untimely end. CBS would more than likely not even report such a horror. Sad that she seems to be the only MSM investigative journalist still up to the task. I wish her the best.

I'd guess (as others have) that the 'mission' was just a front for shipping arms to various regional actors. In doing so they pissed off some other 'actors' who dealt with the situation as best they could. RIP to our gun running state and cia pukes.

The early spin from the party hacks I have seen is this is all a pre-emptive strike against Hillary16.

Be interesting to see if they can make that fly.

Only Obama and Hillary could have given the stand down order. It seems to me Hillary would have no reason unless there was some secret mission going on that she was controlling. But Obama wouldn't take the heat for Hillary he would have thrown her under the bus in a second so Obama probably gave the order. But still it's curious that Hillary put her career on the line to cover Obama... Hmmmm! They must both be in this up to their eyes and Hillary quit to get far away from it and that's why she has to keep up the lies and protect Obama. What is it they are hiding? Is it simply their stupidity in not acting on the attack or something more nefarious? Are they pulling out all the stops simply to cover up the cover up or is there really something there...

Absolutely nothing will come of all this. The GOP is not managed well enough and the press won't give due coverage. Wed. coverage is all for show and re-election efforts. Nothing more.

I have to agree with your comment. Reference F&F. Plenty of hearings and a total lack of fortitude on the part of GOP (aka Dead Elephants) to push for hard answers and accountability. The repubs are too busy trying to be as popular as dems.

6. Who ordered Africom Commander General Carter Ham relieved during the attack? (for reportedly trying to mount a rescue with the SF assets under his command). There are only 2 choices - Leon Panetta and Barack Obama. Why?

7. What kind of operation was the CIA running? Did the State people on the ground know they were being used for cover?
