Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

your links are not linking to what they purport to link to. do you check them ? On March 27 two links are messed up
Regarding the broken Beach Boys link, I can assure you, you didn't miss a thing.
QUOTE: William Teach: German Paper Warns Of Coming Ice Age This is a tertiary source. The original paper is by Habibullo Abdussamatov, a Russian astrophysicist. Happens he denies the greenhouse effect—not just human contributions, but the whole shebang. this is Science. you know.. "Science". and Science is Never, Ever wrong never contradicts itself. all scientists agree. ze Germans say there will be an ice age, und an ice age there vill be. because, Science.
yo, Ice Age! bring it! QUOTE: Jonathan S. Tobin: Why Liberals Still Detest Fox News One complaint often made is that Fox News consciously and explicitly slants their news coverage for political purposes, as revealed by private memos from management, while claiming to be "Fair and Balanced". Another complaint is not holding their opinionators to journalistic standards of accuracy and accountability. I don't like MSNBC or CBS either, so I'm not surprised by their overt bias, little barry shilling, non-accountability and woeful journalistic standards.
JOURNALISTIC standards of accuracy and accountability---that's not a high bar to meet these days, given the gutter-level "standards" of the NYT, WaPo, NBC, CBS, ABC, and the rest of the alphabet media. How can anyone claim without embarrassment that FOX's "standards" are any lower or worse than those of the major TV networks? Just another case of Leftist jealousy and hate against people who hold different opinions.
PS: For the record, I don't watch FOX or any other network. TV is truly a "vast wasteland" that gets my attention only when the World Series is on. Play BALL! Go SOX! Embarrassment??? Are you kidding? The beauty of the liberal is his total lack of embarrassment. They can hold multiple contradictory positions at once and accuse you of something they themselves are guilty of without the faintest consideration of hypocrisy or irony. It is what makes it impossible to hold thoughtful, logically informed discussions with them.
The libs for all their talk about reason and rationality are the least reasonable and rational people that exist, except perhaps the jihadist. Probably one of the ultra "conservatives" fighting tooth and nail against gay marriage because it will "destroy the sanctity of traditional marriage" is the one that is visiting the prostitute at night.
assuming a particular marital partner, I wouldn't blame the man for visiting prostitutes every night.
Re: What Kind of Men Go to Prostitutes?
a man doesn't pay a woman for sex, he pays her to go away afterwards. Eagle death at wind farm--Loooooooooonnnnnnngggggg overdue for scrutiny. Bats, other birds, you-name-it too.
Hotcoldwetdry: Given that the long-foretold coming ice age is upon us...I am looking forward to the holocaust of Global Warming. Libs hate Fox because it's the dreaded "Other" which is non-conformist, a rebel (to the MSM cause), thinking for itself, and doing all those things that the libs used to love doing before they became The Establishment. El Bummer, boys&girls, El Bummer! Rush: Twisting liberal/progressive noses for 25+ years. Got way more than the "10,000 hours of practice" to get really, really good at it. "All women are prostitutes and all men pay for sex."
I'm just curious, GoneWithTheWind: is your mother a whore? How about your grandmother? Your sisters? Would you say that to your mother's face, or do you reserve such pithy insights for a venue where you don't expect to be challenged? I am awaiting your challenge. You commented but no challenge.
Either sex is given free and perhaps even anonymously or it is given with some expectation of something. Lacking a challenge I will respond anyway. What was the purpose of the title of the story "What kind of men go to prostitutes"? To be provocative and of course to demean the only minority group that can still be demeaned; i.e. men. Why wouldn't the title have been the more informative and more honest "What kind of men pay for sex"? Well, the answer is simple. If the title had been "what kind of men pay for sex" then every man over the age of 21 would respond "we all do". But that isn't what the author wanted. The use of the word "prostitute" was intended to demean and titillate and, yes, to offend. So the original title was intended to offend and to make everyone say "the bastards" as a response. Did you find that offensive? I did. I find the open discrimination towards men, especially white men offensive. I find the intentional demeaning phrasing of an arguement to be offensive. I find the dishonesty in the media to be offensive. So, yes my comment was offensive as I attempted to illustrate absurdity by using absurdity. Not everyone gets it, I understand. You were fully offended by my attempt to show the offensive nature of the public debate but not offended by the offensive nature of the public debate. This is not too different from the minefield that race baiters place in the way of a public discourse of race and racism. One side can say whatever they want to but the other side must navigate a minefield of loaded launguage and nuance. This is dishonest and yet accepted. How do we break out of that trap? I make fun of it, I repeat the offensive words right back at them, I push back. Yes, it is offensive, do you get it. I was offended by the title of the article, I was offended by the assumption that intelligent people are easily fooled by words.
I don't know about that, but I can say that I've enjoyed better sex for less money and hassle paying a prostitute on occasion.
In that case, you try harder to sell your product, change your product, or go out of business.
There is no reason for Democrat Party, Lite, to be in business anyway. And the American people, both new and old, no longer wish to be free and prosperous, so there is no reason for the fictional Republican party to make itself real. Any new party must accept as a baseline the EUSSR/Obamunist future. I enjoyed the Die Welt article you posted but thought this link was better (the Mueller translation - so deliciously German). http://www.thegwpf.org/scientists-warn-ice-age/
The part about it's -19C and the birds have turned back South for the summer sounds like a top 10 late night punch line. I like that they reference several sources in addition to Vladimir Bashkin and Rauf Galiulin. The part about William Herschel was particularly nice - I wonder if that's where the Farmer's Almanac gets it's solar predictions from. Wish any CNN, Reuters, you name it US daily could boast an article 1/4 as thoughtful and well referenced. |
