We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
So her conclusion is that men are not interested in marriage anymore because of pre-martial sex. Not one mention of female friendly family courts or women that just one day up and leave and take the children and your wealth.

The chief effect of the sexual revolution is that it is no longer necessary for a man to have any non-superficial quality in order to get laid. Nowadays if he is witty, good-looking, or suave, there is a young female who will go to bed with him.
"Among pre-adults, women are the first sex. They graduate from college in greater numbers (among Americans ages 25 to 34, 34% of women now have a bachelor’s degree but just 27% of men), and they have higher GPAs. "
Maybe the guys have decided to go out and get jobs instead of being overeducated, unemployed, and deeply in debt with a BS degree in some "XXX-studies" field that no employer cares about. And maybe the girls haven't heard about the bubble in higher ed because they're too engrossed being in the middle of it. Of course the girls have higher GPAs; they always do, from grade school right through college. That's nothing new. They follow the rules like little robots because they tend to be risk avoiders. On average, conformity produces higher grades in school at every level from kindergarten through the Master's Degree.
Yep, my wife made better grades through HS and at a better university than I ever did. However I scored higher on ACT, know far more than she does across a wide variety of topics, the kids come to me for help with math and I beat her regularly in intelligence related activities/games.
While girls were sitting quietly and studying, I was out in the woods playing 'army' or playing basketball or baseball. Life was too precious to waste sitting inside and studying.
