Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

A very nice beer from a very nice microbrewery here in Michigan. Over the last couple of years the Jackboot of the State's monopoly over alcohol of all kinds has been tempered, and the winery and microbrewery art houses have seen a resurgence. New Holland is one of the best. Cabin Fever, though, will kick your butt, along with Bells Christmas Ale. Founder's Dirty Bastard, though, is still one of my Michigan favorites. A Summer Fave is Arcadia's Sky High Rye. Next time you're in Michigan, check out the West side of the State, primarily Battle Creek, Holland, Grand Rapids and points north. We'd love to have you!
