We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Now that we have proof that Saddam was supporting and protecting terror, will there be a change in tone from the defeat-America crowd? No. Because the whole thing is about partisan attack, and nothing more.
I don't think the Weekly Standard qualifies as a source of proof for such a critical point. They are, after all, an interested party in justifying the violence and the pointless policy of wrecking violence on all who are not likeable to America.
Yikes. I think that is an extreme overstatement. Let's just see if it pans out, but I suspect it will, and far more. And it is not as if I supported the Iraq war at first. I did not - I did not care one whit about the Iraqui people at first. But I was wrong.
And it is an inspiration - create human freedom while damaging the terrorists who want to kill us. How bad is that?
