Jamie Foxx: I come into this place to do a photo shoot and they got Ritz crackers and cheese. I’ll be like, ain’t this a bitch. Y’all didn’t know black people was coming. What’s with all this white sh*t? By the same token, if there is fried chicken and watermelon I’ll say ain’t this a bitch? So, no matter what we do as black people it’s always gonna be that.

Foxx is clearly expressing awareness of his problem, and his struggle to escape his experiences of racism. He is trying to free himself, not enslave himself. His comedy explores that journey.

There is no single indication that Foxx is trying to free himself. Ergo, you're wrong yet again.

Quite the contrary, he boasts about his beliefs, thinking him superior for them. He's delighted to be a slave and makes money promoting it and luring others to the plantation.

It means Foxx is bitter about everything even to the point of cognitive dissonance. He's a slave to his bitterness.

If you read the quote above, Foxx recognizes his bitterness and knows it is irrational. He bases much of his humor on that irrationality.

His "problem" is the he is a perpetually aggrieved black American who can't decide what to be aggravated about. This is just another stupid Hollyweird liberal making much to do about nothing. Damned if you do, damned if you don't with these folks.

The sad thing is that he doesn't realize that a large part of his success is due to white people financing his movies, white people attending his shows, white people being his fans.

It all depends on who's reading it. "Targeting" Gabby Giffords for defeat in a congressional election for some is targeting her personally with a gun for others (even before they have a single fact about the shooter).

Jamie Foxx can say it was cool to go around shooting white people in his movie, but a white person could not make a similar comment regardless of the plot of the movie. Hell, a public person can't even say "niggardly" without a substantial part of the black populations and a ridiculous number of white people being up in arms.

Foxx has already said his whole live centers around race. Given that, I don't think it's unreasonable not to read any irony in anything he says about the subject.

No. "Targeting Giffords" may be intemperate in light of the particular audience, but no one can reasonably think that it was an actual call to shoot someone.

The problem is that black racism is epidemic and it shows no signs of getting better. The racism we see from the minority left is worse then the KKK ever was. Blacks kill more whites every year then the KKK did in their enitre sordid history. The black leaders support and even encourage this. It is time for the blacks to overthrow this violent movement in their midst.

I've really vacillated about how Foxx's comments affected me. I suspect he was simply trying to be funny. It was not funny but I don't want to dislike him for a lousy joke. Unless he says or does something to convince me he is racist and a hater I will give him a pass on this bad joke.

And there wasn't a Sweet Meteor of Death, no comets striking Earth, no cosmic alignment of the stars and planets causing havoc - what the hell? I was so looking forward to it too.

Rare earths You know, the funny thing is that not only do we have oil and gas locked up in shale formations, etc., but we could also be the world's major supplier of REMs. Sadly, the EPA will not allow the mining for these materials so once again, we're at the mercy of the Chinese. Ridiculous.

Many of the Chinese people with whom I speak with daily are quite stunned that they have been bombarded with the news of mass murder in Connecticut. Meanwhile, on the same day a knife wielding mad-man stabbed 20 school children in China and it was not reported.

Media here and there is a tool of the government.

Can you say Fast & Furious? We didn't see much coverage of that mess here, did we?

Sadly, we are are the mercy of overgrown government, right here at home. That is not the fault of China.

In other words, there is a difference between China (their government) and the Chinese people. There is a difference between American and the Federal government of the U.S.

It is government that is a universal problem.

Damn! I was hoping for that Mayan prediction to wipe the slate clean. too bad it didn't hit Washington, D.C.

Lessee, who is it that doesn't get irony? That statement laughs at people who laugh at people.

On top of that, it's ironic that slapstick, the fount of comedy, would get an intellectualized appreciation, when it's precisely the opposite reaction that makes it funny in the first place.

Jamie Foxx and Chris Rock are symptomatic of a dispiriting pathology of racism that has become much too widespread in the African-American community ever since they have allied themselves with self-hating liberals like the Zachriel-borg and enslaved themselves to the self-serving Democratic Party. Blacks who do instead believe in their own self-worth find a natural home among political and social Conservatives and, on those occasions when it comes to its senses, the Republican Party. Too much attention is paid to the Jamie Foxxes of the world but too little to the Tim Scotts and the Edward Brookes.

ABC (shocking) did commendable coverage of a school in Skokie, IL, that uses technology and common sense to protect its students. Our country is not alone in having to find solutions to violence, whether it be in the schools, the workplace or other sites where the most damage can be done by people without morals.
