Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

What an amazing 52 seconds. And the clarity was incredible. I opened it to full screen and thought I was watching my TV. Great post, Doc.

Would be much more effective if the length of the viddy was a little closer to ... perhaps 52 seconds.

Dean - As a Raiders, then Niners, fan, I never thought I'd actually have the thought "Poor Jets", but I agree, they deserved it here. What a mind fuck.

Gene - I considered it, but then people would have been complaining, "Hey, what's the big hurry?!" :)

The most points I've ever seen put on the board in the shortest amount of time was 17 points by Craig Morten and the Denver Broncos in 79 seconds. I saw Stabler & Company put together a few two-touchdowns-and-a-field-goal to win the game, but not in a time that could be measured in seconds. 21 points in 52 seconds is just phenomenal.

The Snake was beloved by Las Vegas, because the betting would keep coming in late on a Sunday, long after the other games had finished. He may have lost games with mistakes, but he gave you your money's worth, didn't he?

I used to be a Redskin fan, back before free agency when you could know pretty much the entire roster from year to year.

I remember Super Bowl XXII my Skins were down to Elway's Broncos and then exploded for 35 points in a period. I know that isn't as impressive as 21 pts in less than a minute, but it is my favorite quarter of NFL football.

Maybe RGIII can overcome the Curse of Snyder. Probably not, but I might care a little if the Skins were relevant again.
