We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

If not, it's a good thing that Jews everywhere oppose. Oh, wait.
Good stuff: Hmmm - I think I need a new fly rod for river stripers.... maybe a new reelwhile I'm at it. I realize it's a little bit of over kill if you will, but you never know if you'll run into that 100 lb plus flathead catfish.
Cry Me A Tributary There is a reason that large hedge funds and companies like Pepsico and others are heavily invested in water futures - that's because water will eventually become a commodity sold by the barrel and distributed by public utilities rather than private companies. Companies will only supply the source, not the end product just like an oil company does now. The Colorado is only the harbringer of the coming water crisis.
See my blog sgtbobittai.blogspot.com and an account of my 56-year-old brother-in-law, who cannot read or write or perform any kind of mathematical functions, yet was registered to vote at the urging and insistence of the "sheltered workshop" where he is employed. John's mental age is somewhere between 5 and 8, yet the social workers decided he and others of similar disability have the right to vote. 'Mental disability and voting for president.'
