Cry Me A Tributary There is a reason that large hedge funds and companies like Pepsico and others are heavily invested in water futures - that's because water will eventually become a commodity sold by the barrel and distributed by public utilities rather than private companies. Companies will only supply the source, not the end product just like an oil company does now. The Colorado is only the harbringer of the coming water crisis.
