I'd love to see some comments on this please.

I think the hipsters must lack creativity if they can't come up with a way to earn some money besides taking food stamps. I've been in between jobs and figured out how to make a go of it. Even up here in Maine where there is not much going on you can always find a way to provide a product or service. I grew up the child of a wealthy lawyer and majored in English Lit at one of the finest schools just like the hipsters in the story. It never occurred to me that money would be difficult to come by back when I was planning my life. I was very naive. I had 4 children instead of building a career. (No regrets). Anyway, I just spent the summer cleaning vacation houses, (vacuuming is neither difficult nor unpleasant) and there are so many older people near us that really need the help and appreciate it. Some of my cleaning customers have become favorite friends and acquaintances. I have better prospects now, but whenever I see someone bemoaning the lack of jobs I know that there really are options if they want to work. They need to invent a job, not wait for someone to provide them one.
