Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

"Obama's second term plans vague" Really? Let me help. 1) continue relentless attack on Consituttion (should be a completely useless piece of paper by the end of the term). 2)Deplete and gut the US military. 3) Continue with plan of eventually outlawing natural gas, oil, and coal. 4) Continue making all people dependent upon the federal government 5) Sign hundreds more executive orders, thus making congress a puppet figure. 6) America should be bankrupt by the end of second term, thus paving the way for Obama to be King for life.

Turns out, a DSS employee in Benghazi stayed up on the radio and sent photos until he was killed. Everyone who is anybody in our national security chain was up on frequency and listening. And the White House Situation Room is on that list.

The attack lasted 6 hours. Time enough for the US to get resources on site. So the question is, why didn't we do anything? Why did the top of the chain of command quibble and not release the "resources" to end the attack on American soil and possibly stop the killing of Americans?

Zero thought once he got Bin Laden al Queda would just throw down their weapons and go back to herding goats. His lead from behind overthrow in Libya is going to bite us for a long time to come. I heard one expert say there is between ten and twenty thousand shoulder-fired missiles gone missing. Benghazi is just the beginning. Mitt's got a target rich environment Monday night.

My thoughts exactly, most politicians are the lowest of the low. Why would anyone want to give them more/control of the populace?

Lee Iacocca's endorsement might be a net loss. ;)

"Obama wants to go forward, but..." rather reminds me of Clinton and Gore wanting to build a bridge to the 21st C. Where did they think we were going if they didn't? It's a politician, especially Democratic politician, Vision Thing. Paint a pretty watercolor of where you want to go. Keep the details light*, the rainbows and pretty rainbows prominent.

*Puppies, kitties, and unicorns are allowed, however.
