Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Sorry. We don't do male beefcake due to our homophobia due to our latent homosexuality, no doubt. Well, we might make an exception for ya. Stay tuned. Our dearest friend's son is a Seal, and he might let us take a photo.

Now, now...I didn't mean that kind of picture. I prefer my men clothed...True, some of our heroes make me weak at the knees, but all I do these days is pray daily for them, send care packages to the sons of friends of mine.

I realize some women like beefcake, but most of us are turned on by someone who looks healthy and has some worthwhile work serving others, is kind to children and dogs, who is brave and honest and true and all that corny stuff. Sleaze doesn't do it.

You don't have to go to boot camp to be sexy to babes...but you do have to go to church regularly, where were you? Bad dog, go to your crate and meditate upon your sins and lukewarm heart...even eeyorish I went, back now to pick up my babysitting child (she survived three screaming infants--good mommy of the future).

Ahhh... the church thing. I do have occasional bouts of guilt from a recent tardiness from what was a friendly environment for healing and worship but alas. my new trainer has made it difficult not to mention I now reside in a geographically undesirable local for attending my old church. Not that finding a new one up here would be so difficult but I feel less than honest when I try to attend one ( and I have) that doesn't give me the same level of comfort. Back to my spot in front of the fire... dreaming of my owner shooting ALL THE BIRDS !
