Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Serious baking

Serious baking for profit, fun, and exercise (link fixed)


Man, does this fellow work hard and fast, with a joyful spirit. Bread is alive, as are bakers. This is night shift work, perfect for those with ADHD.


I love that bread with the rock-hard crust.

I am good cook, and my ADHD is a plus. I have no problem turning out good meals but baking? I just don't see it. Measurements? Using all the ingredients? Cooking times? Temperature?

Love baking bread, but too much torture during the summer months. Now that Fall is approaching, the oven will get used more.

Great find and vid - good to find someone whom likes their job as much as that baker.

It was a blessing to watch a master craftsman do his work well, quickly, and with joy. I was going to watch only 30 seconds of it, but ended up watching it all.

I confine my bread making to the bread machine.
