We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

I was once semi-concerned that I kept confusing David Brooks and David Brock. I have gotten over it. They have confused themselves. Stuart Schneiderman says Brooks "enjoys the prestige of being a Times columnist." Brooks doesn't seem to know the disdain that many have for Times columnists. (Not much chance of that, living in the liberal bubble.) He may not be as bad as Paullie "The Beard" Krugman, but he's catching up.
"DOJ Accuses ... Public Library of Discrimination aganst the blind"
Stupid. When the program started it was announced that it was a test/pilot, and if expanded text-to-speech and some other apps would be included. Who teaches a teen to drive using a new Rolls-Royce if a Morris Mnor is available?
