We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Working across party lines and labeling the opposition's nominee's views as "extreme"- is there not a disconnect here? Especially interesting that ∅bama calls Romney's views as "extreme" when the view of many Pubs has been that Romney is a RINO. A RINO is "extreme:" what does that say about ∅bama's views about mainstream Pubs?
Based on ∅bama's track record, from having the most liberal voting record in the Senate in 2007 to his "I won" strategy of ignoring Pub input into bills to the campaign demonizing of Romney, one didn't have to be a rocket scientist to see that his "working across party lines" was unadulterated hokum.
But ignoring ∅bama's track record, and simply seeing the contradictions between "working across party lines" and labeling the Pub nominee as "extreme," it is easy to see that ∅bama is speaking hokum.
∅bama knows he is speaking hokum, but figures that if is can convince some gullible fools to vote for him, the lying si worth the effort.
I can no longer bear to listen to anything this man says or to read anything about what he is supposed to have said. Everything that comes out of his mouth is a lie. Work across party lines? Sure, if by that you mean Socialist v. Communist.
