We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Chaste tree - agnes castus vitex I think is the scientific name, which I probably spelled incorrectly. In Georgia, it blooms all summer and is maintenance free. Attracts a LOT of bees though.

Vitex agnus-castus would be correct. It is a smelly thing if you bruise the leaves, or break the branches.
I do believe that this is your chaste tree, aka Vitex agnus-castus. I am not a botanist, but I have owned several of these puppies. Please check your taxonomy.
My wife and I visited the largest nursery in Connecticut once. They had a thriving mail order business with a slick glossy catalog and shipped all over. The place was huge - must have been more than 20 acres. There was a ground cover everywhere - pretty pink and red flowers. We asked and nobody knew what it was.
Now i'm seeking for both blogs and forums supply third party, well balanced criticism with all complications and / or blogs and forums who have a fabulous open-handed and / or left-wing slant. Thank you very much..
OK - I'll play. If I had the tech savvy - this would be a complete picture of our Butterfly Bush in Madison, WI at this very moment. We are just amazed at how this thing grew in year five in our front yard this summer - amid all the drought dilemma.
So I may not know the Latin name at the moment - but I will keep watching this post until I get my dear husband to show me how to send a picture of our own butterfly bush to share with your readers.
