We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I knew he must be the real fiscal deal when I ran into him and a staffer in a Quiznos sub shop in Kenosha. He wasn't there for any political reason, it was just his choice for lunch. There was certainly nothing pretentious about him. I thanked him for saving my tax dollars with his lunch choice. He had just spoken at a Memorial Day event and was headed to Gander Mountain to get ready for deer hunting. A true Wisconsinite!
I wish he would have stayed in the postition he was in....seems like he could do more damage to the progressive agenda that way.
BUT, yes he will be a great VP. Lets hope the Romney puppetmasters let Ryan do what is needed and not just use him as window dressing.
You know, the critics ARE right about MR being a little reserved as a true-blue vox pop barn burner. Yes one can see the effort he makes. But, it's actually not a negative, once one gets the thing --in fact, far from it --it's kind of aw shucks charming --heck, Jimmy Stewart made a career out of the same effect.
