Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Fawlty Towers

Now that I have gotten my Christmas present copies, I will provide the link, as if you couldn't think of it yourselves.

The Complete. Nothin' better. And it's clouding over and the bad weather is on the way. Bring it on!

 Does anything beat a fire in the fireplace, snow and sleet falling, Fawlty Towers on the DVD player, Dylan on the CD, and a Grey Goose martini in one hand, one's sweetie-pie in the other, and a good Cuban in one's third hand? Multi-tasking. Except hunting or skiing or...

Easy for you.I can't drink,my humorless spouse turns off fawlty towers,considering it vulgar despite kiddies and I howling with mirth. Haven,t held a sweetie in 18 years. The closest was a friend I used to visit who usally had a fire and liked stormy weather as much as Idid. . My children have never seen any love or affection between us and swear they'll never marry. Love eludes me. I can't be with the one I love and I won't love the one I'm with.

Agree with the fire, snow etc. but I'd have to substitute Wild Turkey for the martini.

Used to do bourbon - can't anymore. Switched to scotch - can't do that anymore either. Those colored drinks are gasoline. A martini is jet fuel.
And wine is just blue beer.
