Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

A large, rambling old house in Nantucket

Plenty of space for all of your closest friends. (They need to get that ivy off their trees.) Central heat is for sissies, right?


Except for the Yuppie invasion of recent years, Nantucket is still pleasant and charming. I am more of a Cape Codder, meself. It's a Yuppie-free zone.

Judging by the number of chimneys, I'd guess any kind of heat is for sissies.

Do you know this is a house? It strikes me as a bit institutional. Could it be an inn?

I know that place, it is in fact an inn. I know it's on Fair Street and I can't remember the name of it - it might be one of the Summer House buildings.
