While I can agree with lots of MF views on the infantilization problem and the nanny state and creeping statism, I have a hard time with its recent recurring theme of diapers. Maybe works as a symbol for some, unless you happen to be among the folks who actually work in some of these neighborhoods where parents cannot afford diapers. or a washing machine. The most common requests we get are for diapers, food and cribs. Not for gvt support from birth to death, just stuff to keep their kids intact. Just sayin.

And I'm not saying it needs to be government that provides diapers, after all I work for a private charity, I'm just saying put yourself in the place of a family with none before you harp on the theme, as if it explains all and is not condescending in itself.
