We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I called the Deerfield alum spouse into my world HQ, and he said the house was not on the campus, and when queried as to the style and age, he said "new." He clarified that as "19th century." I would describe the house as "old." Pretty, too.
Am I right that the large front columned section was added on? I'm guessing the original structure was a federal.
Wow. That's some big hallway....er....foyer.....? It's weird that there are no windows on the lower level [but maybe there's one on the side we can't see?]
"... Old Town Hall was built in 1842. The columned front portico was added in 1925. It served as Town Hall until 1955 and housed the town library until the 1990s."
