We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I know little about architecture, and almost said "Colonial Revival". But this house looks very similar to my house, save one thing - the centered chimney.
I know I have a Colonial Revival home. So I'll go with Colonial.
Then I noticed the room in the back, and did more research. I'm sticking with Colonial, though the lack of symmetry would suggest Revival. My guess is that it's Colonial and the owner added on.
One additional problem is the tree blocking the front door. What's visible implies Colonial, but if there are side windows next to the door (like my house), I'd switch my choice.
The moulding over the door do suggest side lights, however, these were sometimes retrofitted to older houses. Considering the central chimney and the small space between the second floor windows and the eaves, I'd say Colonial as well...
... but I will defer to anyone with a true expertise (where's Sipp when you need him?)
