We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
A few years ago, NECCA (North East Connecticut Council of Arts) held a evening of music in which all the performers used unusual instruments. Theremins, Didgeridoo, the Glass Armonica (similar to the glass harp, but with rotating glass bowls - invented by good old Ben Franklin) and the Glass Harp. I was surprised to learn that the Glass Harp can be played in two ways - tuned glass or wine glasses filled with water - I always thought the later was how it was done.
Beautiful in any case, although I don't think Bach would translate quite as well to the Didigeridoo. :>)
