Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Support Ducks Unlimited

Support your local DU Chapter this year. It's for conservation, not greenie silliness. Attend your local event. It's good fun.


We always have a good time at our annual dinner. Basically all guys, except for the delightful raffle gals. Our DU dinner is old-fashioned, but we realize that the fellas like a guy's night out.

i used to be a local sponser, until one day on my couch I read a column telling how to report landowners trying to improve their property in the DU mag.. Question: How much money goes to ducks and how much to staff salaries?

No mention of the post-dinner bun fights? (as in, literal bun hucking). Maybe that's just something that happens in OC California.
