Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

saw that pic too, she slipped while walking up the aisle with him and he caught her. At 90 years old even slips can be fatal. Hope she was alright.

Nice speech. He is obviously an up and comer and he'd be a huge breath of fresh air.

But I have a problem with all the "compassion" and the "a country as wealthy as ours must take care of those who can't take care of themselves" talk. That's what they said when all those entitlements were started. They will always devolve into the mess we have now because they become an opportunity to gather power and votes.

buddy ... I like Marco too, both for his articulateness and for his quick-acting kindness in catching an old lady who stumbled before she hit the floor.
