Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Another critique of an internet friend

Please, 1 Boring Old Man, change your format to be legible for those us us with eyeballs over the age of 38.

He probably won't be able to raise the font size. It's PHP code and most likely beyond his skill.

To raise the fonts in the browser, hold down the Control key, hit the + key. Minus key to lower, zero key to reset.

Isn't "boring old man" an oxymoron?

And, if reaching for the +- key is a bit of a stretch, hold down the Ctrl key and rotate the center wheel on your mouse...assuming you have a mouse with a center wheel.

Otherwise, the article to which you referred is quite an eye-opener. I wonder if the "scientific ethics" discussed will become the new standard under our new national healthcare regime.

(Dr. Mercury, you were right the first time. The correct word is "oxymoron".)

If it's the dark print on the dark background that is the problem he should be able to change that. Also, there is java script that allows visitors to do so if the website owner include some code on the webpage.
