We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Slices of beloved America.
Lovely pix and concept, thank you.
Such a contrast to the recent venom from NY Times columnist David Carr who called people in Middle America (you know, that place one flies over between the coasts) the “low-sloping forehead” variety.
Ahh. yes, the New York Slimes -- never misses a chance to take a shot at those of us lucky enough to live in "fly-over country." Usually, constant sniping like this is an indicator of hidden feelings of inferiority on the part of the sniper. Having finished my baccalaureate at Columbia, I think that this is typical of the New York "elite." Silly buggers.

P.S. Always present company excepted, of course. Maggiesfarmers and their readers are the creme de la creme.
