We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
If you have sons or a bunch of boys on your block, you've seen these nerf wars. Now, pops and moms in boring office jobs have something better to do in those last minutes of the workday. (H/T: the son of Mark Safranski, the Zenpundit)
I can attest to this - I worked for an Insurance company (Swiss, if you get zee hint), that had a data center, and it often got boring when doing tedious IT tasks. The Nerf battles that happened were some of the best, fond memories there, before layoffs, restructuring, and departure.
It was fun to work, a long time agon, in a galaxy far, far away from today....
