We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
As her victory speech becomes a "never mind", and leftist commentators' heads explode, Ms. Kloppenburg has gone from winner to loser in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race. All her winged monkeys (disguised as unionists) couldn't save her.
Notice any resemblance to her precursor in plans gone awry?
Key words:"At one point Ramona Kitzinger, a Democratic representative on the canvassing board and vice-chair of county’s Democratic party, stepped up to podium to confirm Nickolaus’s account. “We’re satisfied that it’s correct,” Kitzinger said of the numbers.“We went over everything and made sure the numbers jibed.”
Golly, I thought the resemblence was uncanny the first time I saw her, and thought her campaign was a joke. One hopes she ends up selling paper towels on T.V. I am a teacher, and have detested the protesters, and am so pleased for Walker's agenda to be affirmed. As an aside, and as an insider, you have no idea how ignorant, brainwashed and ineffective America's teachers are. It is a daily struggle to bite my tongue.
I was watching the election commentary on-line and there were several WI political pundits saying something wasn't right in the totals for Waukesha County, but they couldn't pin point what it was. It kind of flew by on the run, but it was mentioned several times.
I was also highly amused at a comment made on KOS about having the vote count go to the County Clerk's "personal" computer and the resultant "obvious fraud". When one of the post commenters pointed out the "personal" computer is a another term for desktop computer, the original commenter went totally ballistic accusing the replier of being "a Republinazi", etc., etc., etc.
Of course, and as usual, Michael "I don't eat salad" Moore also went off the rails with his "she declared victory, so she won" comment.
Brilliant mistake - a conservative district waited until it was too late for the democrats to "find" extra votes before reporting! The Dems thought they had found what they needed to cruise to a comfortable victory.
OMG! SIAS! (Say it ain't so) Go to The Uptake and watch that woman present herself, using the Royal We over and over again. Chilling. Here's another vote for no elections of judges AND choosing our congress via an absolute random draft, with term limits strictly applied.
