Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Maggie's Farm Salutes A Real Lover

 The following comment was made today about the photo of Jane Russell:



RIP Jane. She was a beautiful lady and a talented actress.

Until I saw that particular picture, though, I didn't realize how much she looked like my Lovely Bride.

Thanks, Bruce. I am a blessed man and my Lovely Bride is, next to my salvation, the most important of those blessings.

I would publish a picture of her (dressed much more modestly than Jane, btw) so you could all enjoy her beauty, but she doesn't want that kind of attention.

When I showed her that post yesterday, she demurred and argued that she has never been as beautiful as Jane, but I am sure that my LB could have won beauty contests if she had those makeup/fashion tips and if she had ever entered one.

Thanks for the song. I will share it and your post with her.

Keep up the fine work on the blog. I visit it daily.
